Privacy Policy

The short version

Trailomen has no accounts, no sign-up, and no interest in who you are. Everything you type into a calculator is processed in your browser and never sent to our servers.

What we store on your device

Your unit preference (imperial/metric) and, if you use the Route Planner, your saved routes are kept in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device; clearing your browser data removes it. We cannot see it.

Analytics

We use privacy-preserving, aggregate analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to see which pages are used. This does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and cannot identify you.

Third-party map data

The Route Planner loads map tiles and elevation data from third-party providers (OpenStreetMap-based services). Your browser requests those tiles directly, which shares your IP address with the provider as with any web resource. We choose providers with published privacy policies.

Advertising

Trailomen currently shows no advertising. If we introduce ads in the future, this policy will be updated first, and visitors in regions with consent requirements (EEA/UK) will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set.
